How Community Educators Became Cool Science Mentors

Mentors played a crucial role in this project. Mentors helped kids learn about extreme weather and develop artwork that reflected their learning.

Cool Science mentors:

· Attended 3 online Cool Science workshop sessions

· Watched videos prior to each session.

· Mentored at least 10 youth about science concepts using artistic expression and assisted the youth with creating artwork, accordion books, and artist statements for the Cool Science Art Competition.
